Greeting the readers of the channel!
Russian aviation industry, today is experiencing unprecedented lifting over the past 30 years. She received a second breath in the early 2000s, after stagnation in the 1990s. State support of this industry and the creation of the UAC made it possible to carry out a number of projects both in civil and military aircraft enterprises.
We refer here as the newest passenger aircraft MS-21, which will be a worthy competitor for Airbus A320 Neo and boing 737 MAX, both within Russia and abroad. In addition, it is impossible to forget about the newest passenger turboprop airlock IL-114-300, which will fall on the inner lines of the country, especially where the airfields do not have a solid high-quality coating.
But we forgot about Sukhoi Superjet 100, which, despite the attacks, was able to firmly stand up for Russian airlines, as well as, well goes to export. The design of these aircraft began in 1990-2000. But, nevertheless, some people will say: «This is the development of the Soviet school of aircraft designers, and modern Russia will not be able to produce anything and come up with.» Well, since they are right, because the Soviet developments were used to develop these aircraft.
Go from passenger aircraft to transport aircraft. By the end of the 1990s. It became clear that Russia received from the USSR, the aviation park of military transport aircraft in the near future it becomes obsolete, which will affect the country’s defense capability as a whole. Therefore, in 2001, work began on the design of the newest Russian military transport aircraft.
As a result, the newest lightweight military transport turboprop aircraft was developed, called IL-112B. The plane will replace such aircraft in transport aircraft as An-26 and An-24. And here, Voila, this lightweight military transport aircraft is the first aircraft, which is designed in Russia, as they say, «from scratch». In fact, since 2014, after the state coup in Ukraine, the plane begins a new life, the second. After all, in 2011, the Ministry of Defense of Russia abandoned IL-112B in favor of An-140. But the gap in the Ukrainian OKB «Antonov», put the cross on the An-140.
And so, after these events, a little more than four years have passed, as March 30, 2019, Il-112B made his first test flight, showing good results. Nevertheless, as it always happens, the aircraft needed some modifications. After two years of work of the new team of designers, on March 30, 2021, the plane rose to the second test flight. Tests took place at the airfield in Voronezh.
Well, like all military transport aircraft, IL-112B will carry air paratroopers and, even, military equipment, weighing up to five tons. Its range will be up to 1200 km at a speed of 470 km per hour. Not bad such a plane is obtained, and beautiful and practical. As already known, this aircraft will produce in the amount of 12 pieces per year. We hope that in the near future, the plane will pass the final government tests and will be adopted in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation. This is the security of the country, and new jobs for people.
